PICKER APP REDESIGN
Picker is an app where users can collect and share their favourite products on social media.
Brief/Problem
For my final project at Ironhack, my partner Florencia Hasson and I worked with a Barcelona startup called Picker.
Picker wanted us to redesign…
The current flow takes users 7 steps. Testers said the process was frustrating, annoying, and time-consuming. It was a big deterrent in using the app.
THE SOLUTION
We managed to reduce the number of steps in the flow from 7 to 4.

What WE did
1 Testing the current flow
We tested the current app as it is with a few users and watched how people interacted within the main flow.
2 Competitive Analysis
We compared Picker with apps such as Instagram, Wallopop, Pinterest, and Wish.
3 User Personas
Picker gave us access to their own research including the 3 personas of their app:
Manuel, the Collector:
The person in his friend group that everyone asks for recommendations.
Motive: He uses Picker to keep a collection of his favourite things.
NORA, the WANNABE INFLUENCER:
A med school student who’s growing her presence on social media.
Motive: She uses Picker as a way to build her brand.
JULIA, the MIRCO-INFLUENCER:
She’s got an established travel and lifestyle brand and almost 20k followers.
Motive: the freedom to recommend everything she loves to her fans who trust her judgement.
Despite the different motives for using the app…
However, we wanted to understand more about Nora and Julia, so we interviewed two influencers: one based in Cambodia and the other in Barcelona.
